Program Description

Healthcare organizations have a fiduciary responsibility to keep the patient’s record and the information in it as impeccable as possible.  The patient and the patient’s record are common concerns that hospitals can use to unite the hospital with their medical staff.  In this session learn about how likely patients are to request their medical record and how likely they are to request changes and/or to understand the information in their record.  Further, learn about what you can do to help patients gain control of their information while building good public relations between them and your organization.  Become familiar with all of the web-based tools that help patients “rate their healthcare providers”. Most importantly, learn how to engage the medical staff in this process in a way that benefits the hospital, the physician, and, most importantly, the patient.
